Our low turnover has averaged 11% in the last 3 years; this has helped minimize the effect of trading on returns.  A sample of our top holdings include GE, Exxon, Abbott Labs, Devon Energy, Fortune Brands, Barr Pharmaceutical, Symantec, Cooper Cos, Petroleo Brazil, Telefonica, and Endesa.

Customized Porfolios, Customized Service

EAM is a non-custodial discretionary investment advisor working with a limited number of high net worth clients in a very personalized manner. This means that the investments are held by the custodian of your choice in your name, for full transparency of your investments and our actions on your behalf.  We work closely with our clients to ensure that their goals are defined and attainable, and because we only deal with a select clientele of high net worth clients we can guarantee personalized attention to your portfolio.

twobusinessmen.jpgOur clients in general are busy people, knowledgeable about investments, but lack the time or desire to dedicate to their portfolio. Our clients have various risk tolerances and portfolio preferences, and expect us to continuously manage their holdings across stocks, bonds, real estate, private equity and alternative investments in both taxable and tax-deferred accounts.

In most cases, we manage a portion of their overall assets ranging from a minimum of $250,000 to $3,000,000.  As such, EAM maintains a small client roster to devote attention to our clientele. We have very low turnover and taxable assets are managed to meet individual needs.

The Investment Process

We do a top down, fundamental analysis to evaluate sector investment.  Securities are then subjected to in-depth analysis to confirm investment potential.  Portfolios ideally contain 15 to 30 issues, depending on the size of the portfolio.

Accounts are scrutinized for personal holdings and tax considerations, and stocks are sold on price objectives and relative attractiveness.  Entry and exit points are often technically based. Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are utilized when needed to get appropriate diversification.  Fixed income investments are selected with an eye for their balance in maturity, risk, income, and sector.

Your portfolio is tax managed for your situation, with multiple strategies utilized over the course of the year. Taxes are always a consideration, but should not drive the investment decision.
