Edgewater was founded in 1996 by Lynne Mallory and Steven Winter. The company operates from southeastern Virginia and serves clients all over the United States. Collectively, they bring over 65 years of experience, with professional training and practical experience while working in various financial institutions on both coasts.
Lynne Mallory, CFA Before starting Edgewater, Lynne traded on Wall Street for 11 years working with financial firms Chase Manhattan Bank, Diawa Securities, Industrial Bank of Japan -- where she was the highest ranking American woman -- and Merrill Lynch.
She has experience in bonds, equities, and currencies. As an Investment Partnerships Manager and Trustee on a number of Trusts, she understands long term investing with varying priorities.
Lynne is a frequent guest lecturer, journalist source and serves on a variety of boards and community programs where she shares her financial literacy.
She earned her B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Steven Winter, CFM Prior to Edgewater, Steven worked in Risk Management at Merrill Lynch, was involved with a fast growing Silicon Valley software company, and began his career at Andersen Consulting.
He serves as Chairman of Old Dominion University's Endowment Investment Committee, providing financial expertise and tracking market insights from top institutional managers. As an Advisory Board Member with Envest Ventures, a private equity/venture capital fund, Steven maintains awareness of leading edge technology and market opportunities.
Steven is often invited to be an event speaker and serves on various boards and economic organizations within the Hampton Roads community.
He earned his M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University and his B.S. in Economics from Old Dominion University.

Both Lynne and Steven earned the Series 65 Registration from the Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination, NASAA. The Series 65 is designed to qualify candidates as investment adviser representatives.
